This reaction by the Russian court sounds familiar. The average citizen is powerless to seek redress against the President in the United States and in Russia. Our leaders are protected, nay sheltered from protests by the courts. In both cases, some mechanism should exist to deal with a despotic leader. In the United States, in theory we have a Congress which is supposed to stand up to the President when necessary. I am waiting to see that happen in action. As for Russia, the President is more like the old head of the CCCP.
