If the German Lutherans could accept this candidate as an Archdeacon, and the Episcopal Church in New Hampshire can accept a gay bishop, it seems that the time is coming such that one's sexual identity is not going to be a barrier to climbing the upper levels of various denominations. The alternative candidate would be the safer bet, which makes me think that is precisely the candidate they will select.

This has been coming for a long time. The Lutheran Church in America has been perusing the openly gay pastor and bishop for about eleven years now. It's political correctness that is overshadowing the Bible in this church, and the powers to be will get their way no matter what the people of the church want. It's another Episcopal Church break-up heading their way.
