Gay & Lesbian – Three Sacramento men appear in court Monday charged with beating a gay man just hours after the California Supreme Court overturned the state ban on same-sex marriage.
The "sense" of it is that people hate things in others they've judged themselves harshly for (unconsciously) having--that is, feeling.
The more repression, the more hatred. Events such as the recent CA decision can trigger inner conflict bigtime.
I don't mean to be simplistic or reductive or, god knows, exculpatory.
Events like this are always a horror.
There is no scarcity of ignorance or bigotry in this nation.
All one can hope is that those of sound mind, psyche, and heart are a majority. I believe they are.
RFE.. that "no scarcity" is how we got Bush twice... how Kerry's Silver Star was a "gift to a lying coward" even though he saved a fellow Amereican's life under fire and Pat Tillman's Silver Star was awarded to a "man of unquestionable courage" inspite of the fact he was gunned down by his own troops.
Unfortunately such acts are not limited to California alone! Overt and covert harassment of gays by the police can be found in every State in the Nation.
Absolutely disgusting! These men need to take some anger management courses and tolerance courses! There is NO excuse for this! I hope the guy is alright...

These three men if guilty deserve a very long time in Prison.
Is it fair to say that, if someone is attacked for being black, Catholic, Jewish, or for any other reason is related to being HoMosexual is very Insulting to the principles.
How Pathetic and condescending for being black, Catholic, Jewish, etc., there is No relationship.
Just like a woman who chooses to Abort her baby, it is her choice and it's the law. If a woman wants to Kill her baby it may be Inhumane but, she has a legal right to get an Abortion.
If a HoMosexual Man or Woman wants to marry, it should be their respective choice. It's sad that society does not understand the choices that HoMosexuals make, it should be their right to do so.
If you signed a DOMA, or voted for any constitutional ban on marriage for all Americans, you are an accomplice to this crime. Teaching people that GLBT Americans aren't the same as the rest of us is what caused this vicious attack.
Go join your fellow patriots the Phelps at a soldiers funeral.
How sad. On a day of such joy to be struck down by ignorance and malice.

Despite legal advances, some social advances will lag far behind. Why must the ignorant of society wreak havoc on law-abiding, peaceful people? It makes no sense to me that someone would be attacked simply for being gay. Of course, it makes no sense to me why someone is attacked for being black, Catholic, Jewish, or for any other reason.
That anger is from a back ground noise of homosexual tendacies!!
A sad note is how many black minister are going out of their way to support a gay marriage ban... similar to that ban of black people marrying white people... that too was also declared as being "unnatural"
