Again, America is a Constitutional Republic. States do NOT have the right to, say, re-institute slavery even if a popular vote was unanimous!
It's not just the states, it's the will of the people. They do have a right to be heard and have their collective will made into law.
So it would be okay with you if the 'will of the people' resulted in the re-institution of slavery?
As opposed to the condition of servitude to which the courts have subjected us.
