She deserves to be fired. I realize that she has the Freedom of Speech. However, that freedom is tempered by the fact that the University has a responsibility to protect its reputation. If students and families have the perception that the University is a home for bigots, they may think twice about enrolling there. She had the freedom to speak, and the duty to accept the consequences.

Freedom of speech means that the administrator can say whatever she wants. It doesn't mean that there aren't consequences for that speech.

Universities can fire someone if they don't like what they say. Just like my boss can fire me if they don't like what I say.

There are always consequences and she has to pay them.

Hobe, what would you feeling be if Crystal said the same thing of a Jew or Muslim? She claims she has a "divine right" or some other nonsense to spew her bile, the *same* excuse used by earlier bigots who used the bible to deny others civil rights!
