"...a children's book about two male penguins caring for an orphaned egg..."

In what world...on which planet...in what cosmos would a book in which the above, which speaks of caring and protection, and the rescue of the endangered, be considered an impermissible read?

Answer: the world of the zealous religiosity, homophobia, short-sighted bigotry, and all-purpose fear of the different.

In other words, here in America, now. Astounding--and heart-breaking.

I love that a good about taking care of an orphan is the most banned and most burned book in this country.

How Christian.
