This is one fight the ACLU must fight to preserve and protect the rights of LGBT students to speak their minds about their own sexual identities. Why should it be acceptable by government standards to discuss being straight, but unacceptable to discuss being gay? Does it offend someone's religious sensibilities? Come out of the stone ages, people. We do not live under Taliban rule, yet.

This is just bloody vile...well you know what the phobes say "At school and in prison, 1st amendment rights don't apply" cause these idiots serve at the will of the parents and half the parents are christian phobes...they should not only be stopped but disbarred and sued for EVERYTHING they have...if I wasn't worried about the results I'd say force this school to close and integrate the kids into a new school but why make the good teachers and other kids suffer because management can't keep it's ass on straight eh?

In 2008 America??? OMG that's sad.
The district then said that such symbols and slogans were signs that students were part of a "secret/illegal organization."
secret? seems that school wants to push people back into closets.
illegal organization by GLBT? where???
Isn't it illegal to deny equal rights?

Yet another reason why GW was so dangerous as president. He appointed Samuel Alito and John Roberts to the US Supreme Court. Now those toadies in Washington will bend to his whims and whatever that loud-mouthed moron James Dobson says. They take their marching orders from the right-wing, next to neo-Nazis out in Colorado. We will be forced to endure this vile court until someone replaces John Roberts.

No suprise why people of the European countries and throughout most of the world are excited about the prospect of electing Barack Obama as the next President.
Sensitivity to the issues of first amendment rights must not be politicized by the dictates of religious dogma.
We have had enough politicians who will do what is politically expedient for fear they might incur the rath of kooks like Dobson.
Time to start weeding out the witch hunters and to throw them out of Congress this November.
