I am dumbfounded that a state would have such an opportunity to pass a law granting marriage equality to gays and lesbians, and a Democratic governor would stand up like a Republican and shoot down the chance. Governor Culver wants to ban same sex marriage through a constitutional amendment, but will not push through the measure until the Supreme Court says it is legal. How dare he call himself a Democrat. He may as well wrap himself in a Bible and become a Republican.
