Gay & Lesbian – In a landmark verdict aimed at legitimizing homosexuality, Nepal's top court ruled Friday that the government must create new laws to protect gay rights and change current ones that might be tantamount to discrimination, an official said.

The Nepalese high court took a drastic leap forward for gay civil rights. For them to announce to the world that maltreatment against gays and lesbians is discrimination is nothing short of amazing. Why can't we have that in the US?
